Master Unit Detects Call
Points Self Activating and Canceling
DESCRIPTION
The SmartWire master detects call points activating
and canceling when no calls have been activated.
CAUSE
In majority of the cases the reason this occurs
is because one or more call points have been set with the same
Call Point ID number. Because every call point is constantly
monitored by the master unit, this causes interference in communication
between master and the individual
call point
resulting
in a false
alarm.
RESOLUTION
Check and activate every call point in the system
and make sure that no two call point IDs are the same. If similar
call
point
IDs are found change call point ID and retest. Refer to Installation
manual on setting call point ID using the DIP switches on the
back of call points.

defined in the SmartWire Installation Manual call types table.
CAUSE
One or more of the trinary switches on the Type
A or Type C call point may be damaged or faulty.
RESOLUTION
Return the damaged or faulty unit to SmartLink.

Master Has Old Codes
That Are Being Polled
DESCRIPTION
Master reports old codes after system configuration
changed.
CAUSE
If a master has been relocated it will still retain
the old call point codes that were initially programmed in for
polling. Unit will automatically show up as not there and delete
all old codes, which may take several minutes on a new installation.
RESOLUTION
Leave the system running for several minutes and
allow for the new installation to be recognised.
